Garbage
What to put in the blue cart:
All household garbage and trash that will fit in the cart with the lid closed. Household garbage should be bagged.
What not to put in the blue cart:
Hazardous waste, paint, chemicals, motor oil, liquids, dead animals, hot ashes, car parts, tires or car batteries.
What do I do with my old unwanted household furniture and miscellaneous household junk, appliances etc.?
Bulk items such as household furniture, appliances and miscellaneous unwanted household items can be placed at the curb on your regular collection day. Remember that when placing an old refrigerator at the curb the doors must be removed and placed next to the refrigerator. The Freon must also be removed.
Yard Waste
What do I do with my Yard Waste?
– Separate yard waste collection will take place from April 1st thru December 15th on your regular pickup day.
– Grass clippings and other yard waste should be placed in brown paper yard waste bags or containers identified with a YW.
– Small branches must be cut and bundled not to exceed 3 feet in length or 40 lbs. and should be placed next to blue trash cart.
– Clear bags will not be collected with yard waste.
Recycling

Acceptable Materials:
– Newspapers: The entire newspaper including inserts.
– Aluminum, steel, and bimetal cans: Food and beverage cans only.
– Glass: Bottles & jars: Food and beverage containers only.
– Plastic: Food and beverage containers marked #1 thru #7
– Plastic: Detergent and soap containers marked #1 thru #7
***Please rinse all containers***
– Misc. paper: Magazines, junk mail, cardboard, phone books & paperboard (cereal & clean pizza boxes).
– All kinds of cartons: Milk, juice, etc.
Do Not Recycle:
– Containers with excessive foods or liquids still in the container.
– Containers that contained hazardous materials such as oil or anti-freeze.
– Styrofoam, aluminum foil, pie tins, etc.
– Light bulbs, ceramics, china, etc.
– Plastic wrap, plastic bags, flower pots, toys, etc.
– Scrap metal, car parts, batteries, etc.
Do not place any yard waste in green recycling cart.
General Information
Billing: Every quarter you will receive your trash collection bill from Republic Service.
How to set out Carts: Place the carts on the side of the driveway approximately 3 feet from the curb with the arrows facing the street and at least 3 feet apart or on opposite sides of the driveway from each other.
When to set out Carts: Carts may be set out any time after 5:00 p.m. on the day before your collection day or by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day. Carts should be removed from the curb within 12 hours after collection.
What holidays affect my pickup day? Your collection day will be delayed by one day, if your regular pickup day falls on or after the following holidays:
– New Year’s Day – Memorial Day – July 4th
– Labor Day – Thanksgiving Day – Christmas Day
